My piece “Nestled down for the night” was part of the “Dusk” show at Greenbench Brewery for 2025’s Tampa Bay Beer Week. Big Thank you Chad Mize for inviting me, it was an honor to be a part of it.

I wanted to create a piece that focused on a St.Pete staple, the beloved Pelican & the moments as it began to let the world wind down around it. Dusk is a magical time, so I wanted to use a lot of vibrant colors to make that come through in the piece. There is no black in the painting (except on the sides of the panel) , it celebrates color and is a nod to when I first learned how to paint & didn’t use black in my work for a time period of 3 years.
