It’s very unfortunate how many of these magical creatures are struck by boats, and if there’re not killed in the process, they’re left with scars that show the terrible tale of of what they’ve been through. I wanted to create something that sparks some awareness in an offbeat kind of way, even though he’s pretty cute angry, the subject of boat strikes on manatees is no laughing matter...I can only hope that someone who wouldn’t normally head the posted signs, potentially slows down because they want to take a better look at this guy being spicy & looking out for his pod.
