The 3rd book cover piece from my book covers reimagined series that was to be shown at The Studio House in St.Petersburg,FL for their book cover show curated by the talented Luke Heath
This reimagining was inspired by "The very hungry caterpillar", a classic children's book most of us remember growing up with.
Trying to think of what else I could throw in place of the caterpillar, the Sandworm from Beetlejuice felt like a solid choice, as both creatures had segmented part to them. I cut out & decoupaged the pieces from construction paper & cardstock, and painted on some of the last details.
The popularity of this series and quick sales of the originals prior to the show opening they were originally created for led me to create a series of 5 book covers reimagined that was a wonderful blessing to have had happen. The feedback and stories that people have shared have shown me how much an impact these original books had on our childhood, so this has been such a joy to tap into and be apart of
